Can Your Nutrition Go The Distance?

Training is only half the battle...

Far too often, athletes give it their all in training—only to return home to a pantry in disarray and with no nutrition plan for recovery or tomorrow’s training. Sports nutrition doesn’t stop when the workout ends; the meals, snacks, and hydration we choose outside of training can have as big an impact on our performance as the effort we put in during training. Understanding how to fuel your health and performance is the next step in unlocking your potential.

In Their Words

"Alex is by far the best nutritionist I’ve ever worked with. He takes a very common sense approach and really helps talk through any and all issues you feel you have around food. He’s been able to make sure I’m properly fueled for workouts and feeling better than I ever have while also not leading me to overeat. Would 100% recommend any athlete struggling with diet in any way to come work with him! It has changed my training for the best and I couldn’t be more grateful."

Ayra, 17

"Alex is very straightforward to work with. Whether you are looking for meal prep ideas or correct fueling before workouts, Alex has got you covered. He will teach you the important fueling skills to ensure a happy/healthy workout and recovery."

Zac, 17

"I worked with Alex through Second Arrow Nutrition Consulting to host a virtual speaker presentation for our student body at University of Lynchburg on sports nutrition. Alex was responsive and easy to coordinate with leading up to the event. Following the presentation, we had several members of our community who attended message me and share that they appreciated having him speak, and thought the content was relatable and informative. Our University looks forward to continuing to work with Alex to support our students!"

"Working with Alex has allowed me to significantly improve as an athlete, both in performance and in the way I generally feel on a day-to-day basis. Before working with Alex, I would have considered myself a healthy eater, but now I feel as though I am "fueling" for a specific purpose. I have more energy, an improved mood, and have all but eliminated past GI issues during strenuous workouts.

Clay, 34

"Alex has a very non judgmental way of helping clients see things in new ways. He has a gentle way of teaching and encouraging new ideas for nutritional goals. He makes it fun"
